Monday Menu Mania

I think I caught up on everyone's blogs - YAY! Hopefully, this week everything is back to normal around here. I have never gone this long between posts.

I did well with my Weight Watcher's points this past week. I got back to my running schedule, so I met my Cute As A Bunny Mini-Challenge for last week. This week's mini-challenge will be to do Jillian Micheal's 30 Day Shred four times this week. I can get three times in, but finding a fourth day has been difficult, well it hasn't happened.

My weigh-in this week showed that I am down 2.9 pounds! This means 8.7 lost with the Cute As A Bunny Challenge.

This week's menu looks like this. Please note that we have three nights where we needed fast options as the kids have performances or other commitments that mean only 30-45 minutes at home between school carpool and time to leave for whatever it is.

Saturday: Roast pork puertorriquenno (marinated in orange juice and jalapeno), buttered whole wheat noodles, and green beans

Sunday: Bow tie pasta, salmon, and asparagus all in one pot meal.

Monday: Slow cooker vegetable barley soup

Tuesday: Turkey or hamburgers, baked potato, and broccoli

Wednesday: Burritos and fruit

Thursday: Roasted chicken, red potatoes, and carrots

Friday: Turkey sausages and peppers with brown rice

I'll post a couple of recipes from last week tomorrow, so stay tuned. What's on your menu tonight?

Woohoo 2 more down! You rock!

I know about catching up on blogs, man this weekend i had some 2000 posts to read. I am now caught up and feel so fabulous!

Cant wait to hear how your foods are. I saw a recipe recently for jalepeno poppers that was done healthy style. They brought it from 450 calories a serving to 150 calories. If i find it again i will post it or email you. Sounded fabulous, and not full of guilt!

Guess what I discovered this last month? You can eat 9 cupcakes and you'll gain about 2.4 lbs by the end of the month but then, you go back to normal. I'm thinking of writing a super scientificy journal about this and participating in the control group.

Also, I just got scared of envisioning Jillian reading my journal.

Yay for you!! :)

I'm a lousy meal planner. Oh, I mean, I can plan, but I can't follow through very well. It's something I need to work on!!

You go girl! 2.9 pounds is awesome. I will be doing Jillian in the morning. We BBQ's chicken tonight so tomorrow I will make the extra pieces into chicken burgers and make up a potato salad. Soccer tomorrow night at 5 p.m. so I am with you on some quick meals this week!

Lately, I've been going back and forth on my decision to join WW. I should just do it. Everyone seems to be having great results with this program.

Your menu looks great. I really need to start planning our meals.

Last night we had breakfast for dinner. It's a quick option for us when the teen only has a few minutes in between commitments.

Your menu this week looks GOOD! Yum.

We had eggs and pancakes. Our pantry is barren. Time to hit the commissary. Ugh.
