So Valentine's Day is a little over a week away and I have been seeing blog posts about people making reservations at their favorite restaurant, finding sitters, etc. Hubby and I never do anything fancy for Valentine's Day. Perhaps we are boring, okay we are boring. So, I want to know what you are doing for Valentine's Day - make me jealous, make me want to change our boring ways, or confirm for me that others are just as boring as we are.

I never do anything for Valentine's Day either. Of course... I don't have anyone to share that special day with :)
We really don't celebrate Valentine's Day either. I hate fighting the crowds for a dinner table, and half the time, My Marine is gone anyway. We'll probably do something for the girls - but what? No idea!

We don't celebrate it either. Mostly because my husband's birthday is two days later and then our daughter is a week later. And dude, if you try to celebrate everything you just go a little crazy and spend a whole lot. So we combine a lot. I suspose that jettisons us to the boring department too.
We'll probably just hang at home with champagne this year.
We're holding off celebrating until the 26th. That is when the TKD studio has Parents Night Out. We can't get a sitter until then
We usually celebrate -- we give each other cards and we go out, and my birthday is two days later so I don't mind him combining the gifts! Nothing fancy, really, but we celebrate it. :-)
So we are just coming off unemployment, I will use the tax refund and nstead of paying bills with it, I am going to buy myself some BLING, then show my husband what great gift he "gave" me. We are planning to celebrate overnight in a NICE hotel (nothing close to the interstate and i cannot include breakfast in the lobby!) if I can talk my parents into keeping both kids overnight.
We are actually going to do something for VD this year, because we are gone from our jobs that restricted us from doing so for so many years! Our church has an annual sweethearts' dinner, so we will go this year. Candidly, for us, it is more about a celebration of freedom, than it is an actual VD celebration. So you and D do whatever is most desirable for you, even if you think others may find it boring. :)
We are boring Valentine Dayers. Actually, I'd rather not go out on Valentines. The restaurants are always packed and they usually have a special set menu. We'll probably cook some steaks or something and go out to dinner another day.
We are boring that way too... not that I would not love to be surprised one day with a spa day or weekend get away! ha ha! Budget and practicality always win! sigh! one day!??
I am hosting a wee sewing & cookie party/sleepover for my little girl... she and her friends are going to sew little hearts for a charity that uses them to give to children who have lost loved ones!! Can't think of a better way to love others - since I don't get to be selfish and have a spa day!!! ha ha!
Just Jenn~ (new signature since there are sooooo many Jenn's!)

You already know what I'm doing for V-day, because you saw my blog post this morning!
As for what's in grown up mac & cheese (at least my hubby's version):
Onions
Peppers
Mushrooms
Ground turkey meat OR grilled chicken breast
sometimes celery (for a little texture)
It's amazing!
Thanks for the comment love :)

Confessions From A Working Mom
We are as boring as you. We never do anything. As a matter of fact, I am actually going to work that afternoon.
Nothing! We never do anything. We're so boring, too!!
Oh we prefer to stay in! Put the kids to bed early, rent some sappy movie and cook up some lovely lobster!!
We never have anyone to watch the kids!!! Boring here, too.
Since we have never done babysitters, and when we lived near my MIL she wasn't into watching B past 9pm we never really got into celebrating it romantic after becoming parents. Instead all three of us go out to dinner at a nice place, we all wear red because we're cheesy like that, and we exchange gifts and have a nice family time. I love Valentine's day. I send cards to friends and family too.
Boring! That is what Jeff and are. Because our birthday are in Feb mine the 7th his the 10th... so ya... nothing... not a darn thing we do LOL :)
Hey I missed you. We were going to go out to dinner with friends, but they decided to go out of town. It was going to be us and the kids. We were going to have the kids exchange V-day cards. :)
= )
My husband and I are "newlyweds" and every Valentine's Day we go to a movie with friends. Nothing special...haha!
Last year we saw "He's Just Not That Into You" and this year we are going to see "A Single Man."
Hahaha!
We are pretty boring on Valentine's...and usually working!
We are going to a fine dining Thai restaurant that we have never been to before. It's a night out without our daughter so it's more than worth it!
Absolutely nothing! Probably blogging, LOL!
What we'll be doing on Valentine's Day? Probably hubs will be working. So if absence makes the heart grow fonder...
My husband and I are just as boring as you are! We NEVER do anything for for Valentine's.
My husband says that we don;t need to celebrate our love on the same day as everyone else. The problem is that he never makes up for Valentine's day. That bastard tricked me!

Vday is pretty low key at our house. I typically get a card, maybe a stuffed animal and it's a wrap. Of course he expects a little extra "attention" if you get my drift, but no dinner, no flowers, no diamonds. Just us.
But both of our birthdays are in March and our anniversary is in April so there are plenty of gift giving opportunities. :)
We are getting a pizza and watching The Amazing Race...I can't wait. Dinner out would be lovely...but I am spoiled and have family who watches my girlies, although not on Vday. =)
We will probably go to a movie. I really want to see Valentines Day
well, this year? I'll be in Mexico! Sans hubby!!!
Celebrate! Do something fun this year! That's an order ( :
We usually don't do anything either, but this timewe "may" go out on Saturday "if" w can get a sitter. I doubt I can get one this late but who knows.
My hubby usually gets me flowers and I get him chocolate...how is that fair??? LOL. Anyway, with his crazy schedule and our lack of extra money for fun stuff at the moment, we probably won't even do that this year. Oh well, I know he loves me and that's enough :)
