It's the last week of school before winter break and things are in full-crazy mode here. Between performances for homeschool band, jazz dance, and Divas Down the Street we are super busy. Plus, there was Boy Scout camping this weekend. Sadly, I think my weekly menu planning has suffered, but here it is just the same:
Last week Friday was to be Chicken Tortilla Soup, but I figured out that the men would be camping, so I put that off until Sunday. Saturday was grill cheese sandwiches as the boys were still camping.
Monday: Bean and cheese burritos (the trumpeter has an early call time for his performance and the opera singer won't be home either)
Tuesday: beef stew with rolls
Wednesday: spaghetti and broccoli (I just love broccoli!)
Thursday: El Pollo Loco chicken (fast-food grilled Mexican chicken)
Friday: Herb-crusted red snapper on a bed of carrots and zucchini
I also weighed-in this morning and lost 1.8 pounds bringing my total to 39.4 pounds.

We've got a busy week this week too. Everything happening at dinner time, so I am still trying to work out our meals this week. Tonight is McD's because its the only way we will eat before bedtime due to our schedult but I'm hoping to get some long cooking meals & leftovers in the rest of the week

I can't get over how you continue to lose weight so close to the Holidays and right through Thanksgiving. Well done! My favorite veggie would be sweet potatoes. Love them!
Argh! How are you losing weight over the holidays? Usually I am able to resist sweets, but this year I am finding myself far to fond of them!
I think my favorite veggie is potatoes. You can make so many things with them.
Love you menu. What's my fav veggie? Oh, I love them but I guess my fav is steamed broccoli with cheese sauce slathered on. Not low cal that way but that's the way I like it!

You are so good! With such a hectic life - planning meals is the first thing to go in my house.
Probably one of my biggest problems - although, I did do well over the weekend, thinking ahead while I was at the grocery store and getting stuff for the week end meals - but now it is Monday again and I have to scooch out the door to baseball practice and I still haven't given a thought to what everyone is going to eat tonight.
I am so tired when I get home from work, the last thing on my mind is cooking! - oh I guess I am just complaining!
Sometimes, I wish I didn't have to work outside the home anymore. It is so hard to do it all. You just get spread so thin!

Golly; the weight is practically melting off of you, C. Now, you are working very hard, exercising, watching what you eat. But it doesn't work like that for everyone. You are SO blessed. Congrats!

Can I tell you I have never put broccoli in spaghetti? I feel like I am missing out on something now. (plus it might be a way to trick my kids into some extra veg!)
i am just so tickled for you. The continued weight loss is so inspiring, especially with such yummy weekly eats! My fav veggie...ALL of them! But brussel sprouts and all squash are at the top of my list!!

Nearly 40 lbs! Wooohooo!!!!! Did you know that in the UK we use "stones" for weight? A "stone" is 14lbs. It took me a really long time to get used to it.
A Modern Mom - yes, I knew UK was stones, but never knew the conversion. That would be difficult to get used to.
Way to go! YOu are amazing and an inspiration. Keep it up!
Woohoo for weight loss. Post baby I am SO needing to be there! This week was crazy but next week with no school will be INSANE! Maybe we should all post what the heck are we going to do all week plans! Good Luck!
