Row, Row, Row Your Boat...

This is my theme song lately. Along with better eating habits and exercise, I have committed in the last 9 weeks to drinking water. Not just a little water, but close to 100 oz of water a day. I used to be a diet coke junkie and I just needed to quit cold turkey and do something healthy. So most days, like 6 of them a week, I only drink water. On Saturdays, I do have a Starbucks with my hubby as our weekly date morning. Don't worry I get it skinny to stay somewhat true to my weight loss goals. I think in the last 9 weeks I have had 2 diet cokes. I have a spiffy pink water bottle I keep with me at all times, even in church. The first thing I do each day is drink 24 oz before my morning walk/jog. I usually don't drink anything after seven p.m. to avoid getting up in the night though.

So, what is your drink of choice?

That is great! I know I don't drink a enough water per day. I need to increase my water intake significantly. I started on Sobe Life Water (lemonade flavor). It is pretty good.

You know, I found out the nutrasweet contributes to arthritic like pain so I avoid diet drinks now.

I love tea, iced or hot. I usually use a little splenda in it.

All that water, I wouldn't be able to walk further than my yard. Goes right through me. Good to be off the diet drinks though, I don't trust them myself and never drink them. If I want pop which is rare, I have the full sugary one.

BTW, you can come here for a walk around the harbor any day!

I have read that you can eat and drink pretty much anything in moderation (or if it's really bad for you, once in a BLUE moon) EXCEPT SODA.

I forget all the ins and outs and why nots, but soda is to be avoided completely - it's that bad for you LOL

Also, if you knock out that soda consumption (diet or not) you will shed ponds almost instantly.

That being said, why do you feel that you need that much water?
I would think that is an extreme. Why give the body more than it needs?

Just because apples are good for you, should you eat 100 a day?

Besides, if you have to force a consumption that you don't really need, it won't be long before you quit.

I think "We don't drink enough water" is true, but only because we drink so much other stuff (tea, soda, coffee, juice, blah, blah, blah) that neither our body nor our bladder desires additional saturation! LOL

Sooo... I totally blew off your question, "what is your drink of choice?"

If I could only pick one - like a "what drink would you want if you were shipwrecked on a deserted island?" - hands down, water! LOL

Depends on if I'm being good or not. :) Typically, coffee in the mornings and either water or diet soda during the day. If I'm out then it's sweet tea always.

That is really great!
When I got pregnant, started to drink 8 glasses of water daily and an apple each day. I still do:)

Good for you! I am trying. I really am. Water and juice are all I'm taking in...with a side of ginger ale every once in a while.

Unfortunately, I'm still stuff on my diet mountain dew habit. It's bad for me, I know.

Wow, I'm impressed. I drink about 30 ounce of water per day and I know it's not enough but I can't imagine trying to get more down.

I drink diet pop all day long. I know I need to quit though. I'll feel so much better.

Yep we have started to drink less soda. I feel the difference. I am starting to drink more water.

I LOVE starbucks but I only get it once in awhile Jeff will surprise me. I use to drink it everyday right before work. Now that I am at home Starbucks has been crossed off the list. FOLGERS is now my new best friend but just not as satisfying LOL

I admire that you're sticking to your goals! For me, I have the hardest time giving up coca-cola. I did for a while then went back to it...ugh! I can't drink diet drinks due to migraines. I need to just drink water...so much easier said than done!

Well done! I am also increasing the amount of water I drink, although I have not yet made it to 100 ounces daily. You are doing GREAT!
